There's red, and then there's red. Like a good glass of wine, cherries in the summer, pomegranates split open, Chanel's Rouge Allure.

I've always found these deeper shades rather delicious. Burgundy, oxblood, plum, garnet. Even the names have a certain richness to them.

And much like wine, I don't think you need a special occasion to enjoy them.
